| trainer through King’s College, London, and had led and maintained this initiative since it was introduced to the school. In addition, she has been doing empirical research on CASE for the last four years which will lead to a Doctorate in Education. The school was approached by Teacher TV because one of the founders, Professor Phillip Adey, recommended Grey Coat’s Science department. The programme will be broadcast early next year on Teacher TV.
Part of the schedule for the day involved 7Y being taught CASE activity four by Tom Xavier, one of the experienced CASE teachers. The class were a credit to the school in terms of the engagement and enthusiasm of students for the cognitive challenge of how to control variables. In addition, one student from each Year 7 and 8 form class took part in a group discussion with Ms Lecky about CASE lessons, which focused on students’ reflections about their learning experiences.
