Grey Coat students invited to Downing Street after making WW1 film

A group of Grey Coat Hospital students were invited to Downing Street after making an animated film to commemorate the centenary of the start of the First World War.

The collaboration between the school's Art and History departments and the Historic Royal Palaces explored the significance of the past 100 years and why we remember. The result of the project is this beautiful and very touching film. Click here to see the filmThe students' work has been used as an example of the importance of remembrance at a university educational conference in Cardiff.

"This wonderful project really demonstrates the culture of independence, learning and personal qualities which are fostered so successfully at Grey Coat."  Ms Maddrell
