European Day of Languages 2010

Although every day is a celebration of languages at The Grey Coat Hospital, the MFL department are offering various activities and opportunities in honour of The Council of Europe’s ninth annual European Day of Languages on Sunday 26th September.
On Thursday (23rd) lunchtime all Key Stage 3 students are invited to a MFL book sale where we will be selling our old text books for as little as 50p to help students with their independent study.
On Friday (24th), tutor groups will be invited to take part in a language quiz which will require some general knowledge about languages and the discovery of languages spoken amongst our diversely multi-lingual staff.
Throughout the following months, further activities will take place such as the Year 7 languages festival which is currently being organised by our Year 10 language leaders and a language fair for Year 9 students. Further details to follow. |
