A Level Art Exhibition 2008
On 14 May 2008 the Art department took over the lower school café and Art room for a private view of AS and A2 work made during the year. The chairs and tables were cleared from the café to make the most of the magnificent space and light in the building. Our aim was to transform the space into a gallery-like setting in order to show off the work at its best.
Students, parents, governors and friends were invited and we had a good turn out with everyone enjoying refreshments while looking at the work. Many people commented on the quality and individuality of the students Art, and we received many notes and emails in the days to follow saying how impressed they were.
The Art department would like to thank the students for helping to clear the space and spruce up the Art room in preparation, the school caretakers and also Anne Marcher for helping to make the night a huge success. Although it was quite a feat and all had to be returned to normal for the next day, we were extremely pleased and proud of all our students work.
