CPD Mark awarded to Grey Coat
July 2010
Grey Coat is delighted to announce that it has achieved an outstanding result in its inspection for the CPD Mark Award which took place in early July 2010. The CPD Mark is a national quality mark designed to improve Continuing Professional Development (CPD) standards throughout the education sector. To obtain the award, the school was assessed on whether it fulfilled the 8 criteria steps:
- a vision for CPD and an understanding of its impact on raising achievement
- an induction programme and ongoing support of staff new to post
- effective partnerships with a shared commitment to securing the best possible training and support for staff
- professional standards embedded in the development process
- curriculum development
- performance management
- a flexible approach to sourcing the best CPD/training and development
- collaborative work with pupils, parents and the community
Ms Solani and Ms Pickard worked hard to provide evidence supporting each of the above criteria. Grey Coat achieved Grade As for all areas resulting in an outstanding result. This is a great achievement for the school and was a wonderful way to round off the school year in July before we broke up for the school holidays. Well done to all who were involved in achieving the award!
