Ray Mears at GCH for BBC Filming
June 2009
On 8th June, bushcraft and survival expert, Ray Mears, visited GCH along with a BBC production crew to film scenes for his forthcoming programme about Canada, featuring the story of David Thompson. Thompson, a former student of GCH in the 1700s, explored and mapped much of Western Canada and ‘The Rockies’, and is very much a national treasure of Canada. Ray first visited the school when our green plaque for Thompson was unveiled in 2007.
