'Young at Art' Exhibition
May 2007
During February, Year 9 Art students designed hearts to express their perceptions of themselves - representing elements of their personality using different colours, shapes and symbols. Based on the work of Jim Dine, an American artist who has used the symbol of the heart throughout his career, the HeART project was due for completion on Valentine's Day.
Some of the pieces were then selected for the London Institute 'Young at Art' exhibition, open to the public, and the group visited the University of Arts Gallery in central London on 14th May. The work will also feature in this year’s Exhibition catalogue.
