Welcome to The Grey Coat Hospital

SWINE FLU UPDATE - 29th June 2009

The Grey Coat Hospital has one confirmed case of swine flu. The student concerned has been out of school for 1 week and is receiving anti-viral medication.

The London Flu Response Centre has advised us that we are to remain open.  Students will not be given anti-viral drugs such as Tamiflu as precaution.

If you feel your child is showing flu-like symptoms then please see your GP. A letter was given to parents on 29/06, a copy of which you can download here.

Welcome to The Grey Coat Hospital, a Specialist Language College and Training School.

I am proud to lead a dedicated and talented team of professionals offering a challenging educational experience for girls from 11 to 18, and for boys in the Sixth Form.

We are a Church of England school with a strong pastoral structure, ensuring that every student is known as a person and is set on the path to realising his or her potential within the context of a caring Christian community.

We believe that languages are the key to the future, and that proficiency in a foreign language will open doors for students of every discipline. We were recently awarded a second specialism by the DCSF for being a 'high performing specialist school' and we subsequently became a Training School which will launch fully in September 2008.

Life at Grey Coat is demanding but very rewarding. I hope the website gives you a flavour of life within our school and community.
