Languages Blog: Languages go online...
The MFL department is proud to announce the introduction of its new blog. Staff and students have been very excited by the possibilities offered by this facility which is already being used in a variety of ways.
The blog offers the opportunity to view students’ work and comment in other languages on topics ranging from their hobbies to their views on ‘binge drinking’. It also provides updates on events, foreign exchanges and trips: Mr Waltl used the blog last week to post comments and photos of the German work experience visit.
Other uses include the posting of resources to help with homework and revision. Miss Camp’s model answers for the recent speaking assessments in Key Stage 3 proved particularly popular with students!
We are keen to develop the blog further and will soon be posting interactive exercises and are investigating the possibility of including audio files to provide students with additional ways to improve their language skills independently.
If you have any comments or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to post a comment directly on the blog itself www.gchlanguages.typepad.com or email Miss Miller at lmiller@gch.org.uk
