2010 World Cup challenges students at GCH

GCH saw the perfect opportunity to engage students in languages during the FIFA World Cup 2010 with a number
of activities and events during the competition. A dedicated website was set up at www.GCHworldcup2010.co.uk
and there was a World Cup Challenge in which departments set World Cup related tasks to form groups and
awarded points on the results of these.
There were also individual match prediction competitions, the winner of which won an ipod! The England v Slovenia game
was even shown in the school hall on 23rd June allowing students and staff to abandon lessons half an hour early and join
together in cheering England on.
