Year 11 Day out with the Army - September 2007
The start of the new school year saw the whole of Year 11 participate in a day out with the Army at Pirbright in Surrey. Students worked together on team building exercises, both mental and physical, to encourage cohesive form dynamics. Many of the girls, along with their form tutors, stepped outside of their comfort zones, for some students this meant learning to ride a bike; through these personal challenges they developed many skills and learnt some new ones. It was a very positive way to begin Year 11 for the students and the staff – 11 G were the champion form, they impressed the soldiers through demonstrating the most developed team skills which enabled them to work together and support one another to achieve their goal.
