Activity Trip to Canada
July 2008
In July 2008 a group of forty-one students from across Year groups 8-12 flew to Canada for an activity-packed adventure trip. Their itinerary included:
- A sightseeing tour of Toronto, including the CN Tower pictured above, which stands at 1456 ft into the sky. - Cycling around Toronto Island - the largest urban car-free community in North America. - An excursion to Niagara Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the new world where one hundred and fifty five million litres of water per minute crash down onto the rocks below. - Catching a baseball game between the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees. - A visit to Paramount Canada Wonderland Theme Park - a theme park with roller coasters etc. - A day at the Algonquin Provincial Park - the oldest and most famous park in Ontario stretching three-thousand square miles of wilderness. The girls got to canoe on the Lake Opeonigo at the park. - White water rafting in Beachburg - A tour of the city of Ottawa and of course, shopping! - Horse riding and cycling.
