Cashless Catering system to launch February 2008
Grey Coat is pleased to announce that we are introducing a cashless catering system. This has a number of benefits including:
- it ensures that the money you allow your child to have for lunch or break time snacks is used for that purpose.
- A daily limit can be put onto your child's account each day to ensure that they do not over-spend.
- It provides a considerably quicker service, helping to reduce queues.
- if you are entitled to free school meals then nobody is aware of this - a card is still required and money will be automatically loaded onto the card each day after break.
- As there is no value stored on the card (it is held on the school computer) should your child lose the card it can be replaced with no loss of money after the time of reporting the loss.
- The Grey Coat Hospital is a nationally recognised 'Healthy School' and we promote healthy eating. Through the use of the card we can award healthy eating points. The pupils with the most points at the end of term receive great prizes that are sponsored by our suppliers.
If your child has a Oyster card then this will be the card used for the cashless catering system. Those students who do not have an oyster card will receive GCH catering cards. |
