Year 9 students win Chinese Speaking Competition
A group of Year 9 Mandarin students from Grey Coat have won a national Chinese speaking competition organised by the British Council and supported by HSBC Global Education Trust. The competition took place on 22 November at Kingsford School in East London and involved six Grey Coat girls performing a piece of drama in Chinese.
Alice Clark-Edwards, Sophie Hale, Imogen Williams, Emma Gray, Lara Semple-Kinshasa and Mercy Welbeck all win a trip to Beijing, China, departing December 2006.
