Identity Day 2008
September 2008
What was once called our ‘Pastoral Day’ became ‘Identity Day’ in September 2008. The purpose of Identity Day was for students to work together in their form groups considering the theme of identity through worship and activities such as dance, yoga, baking cup cakes and artwork.
Identity Slogans Form groups also conjured up ‘Identity Slogans’, for example:
'I am who I am and that’s good enough for me' (7H)
Look at you, look at me. Look inside, what do you see. Look up at the sky, at the leaves in the tree. You can be anything, you want to be. (8C)
‘Be Yourself, not the person next to you’ (9G)
'Know yourself, know the world' (10G)
'Our identity is like a jewel, wear it like a crown' (11T)
