Ski Trip to Lake Tahoe, USA

April 2009
The third GCH ski trip to the famous Heavenly resort in Lake Tahoe, USA, over the Easter holidays was another huge success. The students and staff enjoyed the trip enormously – the ski conditions were excellent and all students’ skiing ability improved, irrespective of previous experience. The students also enjoyed their stopover in San Francisco where they visited Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. The depreciation in the pound against the dollar was not evident at the shopping outlets when the students had two hours to find as many bargains as possible! All the students made a real effort to get to know each other and were excellent ambassadors for the school.
Comments by students:
‘Fantastic! Mind blowing! The most exciting trip ever!’
‘It was a great trip and I learnt so much – even how to ski backwards!’
‘I really liked Tahoe because it is friendly and beautiful’.
‘It was really fun and action packed’
